Monday February 27th 2012 - Avmax
The Avmax Group is excited to announce that they have successfully received certification for the Bombardier Dash-8 to land at 14,000’ airports in Peru. Avmax worked closely with LC Peru and the DGAC in Peru to achieve this important certification. Bunny Bundell of Avmax Aviation Leasing Inc said “This is an important certification for both LC Peru and Avmax. It is an example of cooperation with our customers and the depth of aviation expertise that Avmax can bring to the table to achieve a common goal”.Test flights were flown in Canada with an ARTIS (Aircraft Real Time Information System, an Avmax product) installed, that provided all of the aircraft parameters required for precise calculations of aircraft performance and operation.
The aircraft tests were then repeated in Peru with the DGAC attending. The mountain of data collected proved the higher altitudes, to be well within the operating envelope of the DHC-8 and completely safe for operations.
